Choosing your color palette for your brand is excruciating. There are so many options.
Due to a whirlwind of events, I have some time to (finally!) focus on Mighty Good Pen. After watching numerous YouTube videos, I decided to migrate this Squarespace site from 7.0 to 7.1. So far, I am loving the changes. And it’s a good thing that is the case because Squarespace has a “no takebacks” stipulation with this update.
Most of my content ported over just fine. I had to manually bring over a few blank pages, but nothing too strenuous. What you’re currently seeing right now is a placeholder. My goal with the revamp of Mighty Good Pen is to learn more from the design POV (words I never thought I'd say as a writer). I've already stumbled into lessons, which is my favorite way to learn. While I certainly have considerable experience working with designers, it is different to approach a project with design at the top of my mind. That said, although this color palette is fun and works, I intend to change it once I’ve put more thought into the visuals. So, for now, we have something that is functional and visually tolerable.
I’m also excited to launch my newsletter. I promise it won’t be lame. Ok, that might not be a good promise to make because I think a lot of stuff is interesting/cool that others may find boring. How about this — I promise not to slide into random people’s LinkedIn inboxes inviting them to receive my newsletter because that shit is annoying (and ineffective).
